Ken Herar and Pamela Hilton were married June 25th, 2022 at Hatzic Prairie Community Hall in Mission BC, officiated by Cory Dueck and Baltej Dhillon.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by nephew, Robert Gruenwald, with a dark blue silk tie wrapped around the stem of her bouquet, which once belonged to the brides late father, John. The wedding processional was an instrumental version of Guns and Roses November Rain by Kfir Ochaion.
Mother of the Groom, Kuldip was escorted by son, Harry Herar and Mother of the Bride, Shirley, was escorted by Kenny Braich.
Laverne Garcia of Ajax, Ontario served as Maid of Honour along with Bridesmaids Meghan Hilton (daughter), Tia Susimaki, Raeann Raymond and Brandee Burwash.
Flower girls Rylyn Puff and Madeleine Gruenwald gracefully tossed red rose petals as they walked the aisle.
Chris Gruenwald served as Best Man along with Groomsmen Caleb Loewen, Brad Schnell, Brandon Kealey and Max Gruenwald.
Dustin Hiles served as the Master of Ceremonies.
Harry Herar, youngest brother of the groom, offered the Wedding Toast. Speeches were given by Rick Rake, Mike Bismeyer and Kenny Braich.
Open mic well wishes and speeches were given by Chelsi Braich, Caleb Loewen, Brandee Burwash, Ronald Sears-Prentice, Chad Hilton, Leo Yasinski, Tony White and Charlotte Lightburn.
A Chantilly, four tiered cake was decorated in powder blue hydrangeas for the bride and white pacific dogwood flowers for the groom.
Pamela, the bride, is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Shirley Hilton and the late John Hilton, longtime Mission residents.
Ken, the groom, is the middle son of Mrs. Kuldip Herar and the late Tok Herar, also longtime residents of Mission.
Ken is currently serving as a Councillor with the City of Mission and a Director at Large on the Lower Mainland Local Government Association.
Activity writing as a Diversity Columnist with the Abbotsford News for over the past 27 years, Ken is also the founder of Cycling4Diversity and Spinning4Diversity Foundations, in which Pamela actively assists.
Pamela is a (current) distance learning student of Cornell University, Ithaca, New York.
The wedding was attended by City of Mission Mayor Paul Horn along with Councillors Carol Hamilton, Mark Davies and Jag Gill.

Former Speaker of the House of Commons of Canada travelled from Kingston, Ontario to join the festivities. Family and friends also
travelled from across Canada, the United States and as far reaching as Europe.
After enjoying a adventurous road trip this summer, the couple will honeymoon in Hawaii this fall.
